Blanche Neige

In a design shop in Lisbon, the coloration of the delicate, pale girl named "Blanche Neige" immediately stood out from all the other book covers and enthused from the very first moment. So despite our limited knowledge of vocabulary, it was a matter of course to reach for the French edition after Suzanne Kabok. Because after all, people are never too old for fairy tale books! Thus they fulfil one’s constant longing for justice, lasting love, and a happy end, yet. And the fairy tale "Blanche Neige" (Snow White) is no exception.

With admirable devotion, visible love for details, and a breathtakingly beautiful choice of colours, Benjamin Lacombe's illustrations enchant from page to page. On the finely structured paper, the loving drawings literally shine and revive Grimm's fairy tale. "Blanche Neige" was truly a beautiful book prelude to our continuing admiration for Lacombe's fine illustration style.
